You may be one of those people suffering from tooth loss and the reality of having to live without any teeth. It is possible that you had not envisioned such medical complications and therefore you do not know how to go about getting treated. The truth is that nobody is immune to tooth loss and one day we too may require a tooth replacement solution. Are you going to settle for the challenges and repeated expenses associated with removable dentures? Or refuse to compromise on the quality of your life and youth. Fortunately, with the current sophisticated all on 4 dental implants, you can leave out the option of removable dentures and false teeth.

All on 4 dental implants involves a procedure that utilizes only four implants to support an entire upper or lower denture; it was developed in the 1990s as a way to restore the full arches of the upper and lower jaws. The procedure uses only four implants to secure all teeth in place hence, the name All-on-4. This type of  tooth replacement technique was designed by European Implant dentist  Dr. Paulo Malo and practically enables a dental implantologist to replace a patient’s entire mouth of missing or failing teeth using only four prosthetic implants and a fixed (non-removable) and fully customized prosthetic dental bridge. While the All on Four teeth implants procedure may sound astoundingly simple, the advantages it has over traditional tooth replacement and other  implant techniques has given it due status in the medical field of dental implantology and oral rehabilitation.

Previous traditional approaches to restoring a full arch of teeth usually involved bone grafts, that is six or more implants, and required as many as 18 months of treatment. This forced patients to stay without any teeth or make do with ill-fitting temporary dentures for more than a year.

In order for dentists at Worthing Dental Centre to evaluate your case accurately you will be required to undergo a consultation and diagnostic appointment in order to determine the treatment path necessary for your case. The process will include establishing whether or not your case will require extractions, gathering the appropriate information via X-rays, Panoramic scans and impressions and any other photos required. Directly after this consultation, the patient is scheduled for implant surgery in which the new replacement teeth are fitted and adjusted all in one appointment (Teeth in a Day), including any necessary extractions.

All on 4 dental implants requires four titanium implants to be placed in the jaw in such a way that the bone will envelop and secure them into place. The implants that are placed in the back part of the jaw are angulated to achieve maximum advantage to the existing bone structure. Once the four implants are secure and comfortable with the patient, the abutments will be attached so that the replacement teeth can be fastened and adjusted for maximum comfort and function giving you that beautiful smile.
